Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing or using Glealu, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. What Glealu is and is not

Glealu is a desktop application that uses local AI to help you find information within documents you provide. It is a productivity tool, not a professional service. Glealu is not:

• A legal service or a substitute for legal advice
• A medical service or a substitute for medical advice
• A financial service or a substitute for financial advice
• A certified document analysis or verification service

Outputs produced by Glealu are generated by an AI model and may be incomplete, inaccurate or misleading. You are solely responsible for verifying any information before acting on it.

3. License

Glealu grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on up to two computers, subject to the following conditions:

• Your license is valid for the period specified at purchase (one year for Standard, indefinitely for Lifetime)
• You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense or otherwise transfer the software or your license key to any third party
• You may not reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the software
• One license is for one person — sharing a license key between multiple users is not permitted

4. Trial use

A free trial is available subject to the limits stated in the app at the time of download (currently 7 days, 20 questions and 3 uploads). One trial per device. Attempting to circumvent trial limits, for example by resetting device identifiers or reinstalling, is a violation of these terms.

5. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The documents you choose to process with Glealu
• Ensuring you have the right to process those documents on your computer
• Verifying the accuracy of any output produced by the AI model
• Complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction regarding the use of AI tools
• Keeping your license key confidential and not sharing it with others

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Glealu is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranty that:

• The software will meet your requirements
• The software will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure
• Any information obtained through the software will be accurate or reliable
• The AI model will produce correct, complete or up-to-date responses

The AI model used by Glealu (Ollama) is a third-party component downloaded and operated independently. We make no warranties regarding its outputs, accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Glealu and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the software or reliance on any output it produces, including but not limited to:

• Decisions made based on AI-generated responses
• Loss of data or documents
• Business interruption or financial loss
• Any other damages arising from use of or inability to use the software

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which damages are claimed and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Refund policy

We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase if the software does not work as described on the product page and the issue cannot be resolved through support. Refund requests should be sent to help@glealu.com with a description of the issue. Refunds are processed through Polar in accordance with their terms.

9. Updates and availability

We may release updates to Glealu from time to time. Standard licenses include updates for one year from the date of purchase. Lifetime licenses include all future updates. We reserve the right to discontinue the software with reasonable notice, in which case Lifetime license holders will retain access to the last available version.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license if you violate these terms, particularly in cases of license key sharing or circumvention of trial limits. Upon termination you must stop using the software and delete all copies.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Norwegian courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when they were last updated. Continued use of Glealu after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
