Terms of Use

The short version: Glealu is a tool you run on your own computer. You are responsible for how you use it and what documents you process with it. We provide the software as-is and cannot be held liable for how you choose to use it or for any outputs it produces.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing or using Glealu, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. What Glealu is and is not

Glealu is a desktop application that uses local AI to help you find information within documents you provide. It is a productivity tool, not a professional service. Glealu is not:

Outputs produced by Glealu are generated by an AI model and may be incomplete, inaccurate or misleading. You are solely responsible for verifying any information before acting on it.

Glealu grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on up to two computers, subject to the following conditions:

A free trial is available subject to the limits stated in the app at the time of download (currently 7 days, 20 questions and 3 uploads). One trial per device. Attempting to circumvent trial limits, for example by resetting device identifiers or reinstalling, is a violation of these terms.

The AI model used by Glealu (Ollama) is a third-party component downloaded and operated independently. We make no warranties regarding its outputs, accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Glealu and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the software or reliance on any output it produces, including but not limited to:

8. Refund policy

We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase if the software does not work as described on the product page and the issue cannot be resolved through support. Refund requests should be sent to help@glealu.com with a description of the issue. Refunds are processed through Polar in accordance with their terms.

9. Updates and availability

We may release updates to Glealu from time to time. Standard licenses include updates for one year from the date of purchase. Lifetime licenses include all future updates. We reserve the right to discontinue the software with reasonable notice, in which case Lifetime license holders will retain access to the last available version.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license if you violate these terms, particularly in cases of license key sharing or circumvention of trial limits. Upon termination you must stop using the software and delete all copies.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Norwegian courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when they were last updated. Continued use of Glealu after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
